THE CULTURE MOM It’s hard to keep up with Holly Rosen Fink, a.k.a. “The Culture Mom.” This week the Larchmont mother is busy getting her two kids back to Chatsworth Avenue school while starting a new job with Ruckus Media and maintaining a popular blog devoted to her passion, culture. Before moving to Larchmont in 2002, Holly lived in Manhattan where she had immediate access to theater, museums, and other cultural institutions. Part of the attraction of moving to Larchmont, besides the scenic waterfront, was the easy commute to New York City to get her cultural fix. Holly attends at least two cultural events a week and blogs about her experiences. She also travels extensively with her family and makes a point of visiting and blogging about culture around the world. Closer to home, she's explored Westchester's cultural offerings, including the Emelin Theater, Pelham Picture House, Tarrytown Music Hall, and the Jacob Burns Film Center where she volunteers. Holly is also a huge fan of the Larchmont Library and its creative programming. Through her blog, Holly hopes to expose people, particularly children, to the wonderful world of culture. SIDEWALK SALES Looking for a bargain? Shop Larchmont this week. The Larchmont Chamber of Commerce is holding Sidewalk Sales on Thursday through Saturday. Twenty stores are participating. Look for the umbrellas and balloons.
NEVER FORGET 12 neighbors from Larchmont and Mamaroneck perished in the September 11th terrorist attacks. On Saturday at 10 a.m., a ceremony at the Girl Scout’s 9/11 Memorial Rock will mark the Ninth Anniversary and pay tribute to those who lost their lives that day.

CLARKE’S AUCTION GALLERY Clark’s Auction Gallery Inc. is staying in Larchmont! After renting space on North Avenue for 12 years, owner Ronan Clarke purchased and renovated a building at 2372 Boston Post Road. This Sunday Clark’s Auction Gallery is holding a Grand Opening Auction to celebrate. Larchmont Mayor Josh Mandell will be on hand at 2 p.m. to auction off the first lot with proceeds to benefit Marie Ferrari Children’s Hospital.
